I love how the city takes on a romantic glow as the holiday season arrives.
A sparkling night for someone like me who adores Christmas.
Why does my heart flutter like this?
I remember writing letters to Santa as a child, and getting replies from somewhere in Scandinavia.
What would he bring this time?
Once I asked for a doll, but a book showed up instead.
One of those not-quite-what-I-hoped-for Christmas memories.
Mama’s homemade roast chicken wore little white paper hats, and her glazed carrots were
my favorite her first-ever dish.

Her recipe lives on, lovingly passed down into FALINE’s Christmas dinner. So many winters spent with friends and their children, again and again, year after year.

Christmas in the UK during the ’80s, spent with my boyfriend in Liverpool, was the real deal, a celebration filled with family, roast turkey, and the rich, savory scent of gravy feasts.
Queen Elizabeth gave her Christmas speech on TV,
we popped Christmas crackers,
and shared a joyful Christmas brunch in the UK.
Roast beef, pork, and plenty of vegetables.Even on Boxing Day, my sister and I made chicken stock, ending the holiday with a bowl of soup.
The pubs where The Beatles once hung out, the walls still covered in their graffiti
For me, that British Christmas, the scent has stayed ever since. Every year, I find joy in repeating the same traditions, and exchanging gifts.

The CHANEL N°5 Christmas limited edition Eau de Parfum Snow arrived unexpectedly, filling me with pure delight.
The snowflake motif, delicately expressed in silk, is crafted with heartfelt artistry by one of France’s Maîtres d’Art—a title reserved for the nation’s most exceptional master artisans.

I find myself wondering how many people will choose this gift for Christmas — the thought alone stirs my imagination.
A snowy New York scene comes to mind: white skyscrapers glowing with blue lights, the Rockefeller ice rink shining below. I often think back to the Christmases of the 1990s — those moments when people would say “Merry Christmas” and head home to their families. It was pure American culture, like living in a movie.
Back then, New York was a mix of danger and excitement. Going out to Jackie 60 in the Meatpacking District night after night was a mark of status. The heavy perfume of drag queens, the excess of everything — those lingering scents still echo that era. From Patricia Field’s apartment on 8th Street, the view of the falling snow was quiet, almost sacred. As I make eggnog now, I recall that wild time — when madness and Christmas always seemed to exist side by side.

The CHANEL N°5 campaign featuring Brad Pitt was nothing short of sensational.
My husband once wore my perfume without realizing it, and the scent of it blending with his own became, for me, the very essence of that sensual time.
I wrote him a letter that said, “Whenever you think of me, wear this perfume.”
That fragrance, in that moment, became eternal.

Marilyn Monroe once said she wore nothing but N°5 — and that moment made the perfume immortal. There may be no fragrance more perfect for a woman who wants to play her most alluring self. Even a bedtime story can turn sensual.
With just candles and love, warmth fills the room.
A Christmas gift — for someone special. The scent of roses, jasmine, and vanilla — CHANEL N°5.
Listening to Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, sipping hot wine spiced with cinnamon and clove, as the faint smoke of holly drifts through the air.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas.
With love,xxx
